Rescheduling Your Wedding Plans? Schedule a Wedding Portrait Session Instead!

It’s no surprise that the majority of couples who were planning on 2020 weddings have either opted for a smaller ceremony this year instead of they have moved their wedding plans to 2021. It’s a bummer but at this point in time it makes absolute sense to edit your plans in a way that you can safely celebrate your marriage.

One great way to still commemorate your wedding day is to do a wedding portrait shoot! Maybe you still want to get dressed up and still celebrate in a small way with your partner (an idea that I love) and what a better way to make it still feel special by having it captured with some nice photos?!

Maggie & Dave were supposed to be married on May 23rd, 2020 and while they weren’t able to carry on with any plans at that time they still made their day special by doing a small “non-wedding” ceremony officiated by Dave’s brother over zoom for their friends. They also had me meet them in their neighborhood in Skokie to walk around for some quick wedding portraits! Obviously I’m biased but I love the idea of still making the day special with a laid back and safe photoshoot that also documents these strange times. Here’s some highlights from my photoshoot with Maggie & Dave (who’s small family only ceremony I’ll be photographing in the near future as well!) Enjoy:
