By now in Chicago, we’re all over the snow (hello, fake Spring!) but this snowy engagement session was too fun not to share. During our big snow storm at the end of January, I made my way downtown to take photos of these two. We started the session with a glass of wine (always recommended) and some photos with a real show stealer, their cat Cleo.
Not only do I love photographing couples at home because it’s comfy and I get to meet their pets (!!!) but I also love using the unique qualities of their homes. When I first walked into Drew and Virginia’s apartment, I knew I had to do something with their incredible windows!
Engagement photos during a snowstorm aren’t for everyone but there’s no better way to get downtown all to yourself!
(Snowball fights are obviously a must during snowy photo sessions)
Also, just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean you can’t take a few photos with a giant Christmas tree!
I hope you all enjoyed looking at this session as much as I enjoyed shooting it. Even though I couldn’t really feel my hands by the end, I had an absolute blast! I can’t wait for Virginia and Drew’s wedding this summer!
