Intimate & Unique Wedding at The Plant

I’m getting back on top of blogging and I’m kicking off my look back at 2021 with this super cool, intimate wedding at The Plant here in Chicago. The Plant doesn’t typically host weddings but instead is an amazing space dedicated to equipping the community with the tools for sustainable living. You can find out more about them here .

Danny & Nina hosted an intimate and unique ceremony on one of the upper floors in the large factory setting that is The Plant. Their laid back plans involved them setting up their own ceremony with personal items and a chuppah decorated with florals from one of my personal favorites, Asrai Garden.

They incorporated light traditions from both of their backgrounds (Jewish and Greek) into their ceremony making for a sweet and thoughtful representation of the two if them coming together.

While cocktail hour started downstairs we took some quick family photos and couple more portraits of the newly weds in the space upstairs. A reminder that the portrait part of your wedding day can be as elaborate or as laidback as you’d like.

Danny & Nina’s reception was held at Whiner Beer Co, conveniently located on the first floor of The Plant. They had a family styled dinner set up, and kicked things off with the largest and most elaborate loaf of challah I’ve ever seen!

You all know that I’m a huge fan of heartfelt speeches and Danny and Nina’s friends and family did not disappoint.

After speeches it was on to dancing!
