I’m not saying that you have to have a background in art & design to have a super cool wedding with aesthetically pleasing details but K&L’s wedding is proof that it certainly does help!
On a beautiful October afternoon Lucas and Katherine got married at one of my favorite Chicago venue’s Greenhouse Loft. They celebrated their day in a way that felt so detail oriented, fun and true to them and their community.
Katherine’s stunning green, flowy wedding dress might be one of my top 3 wedding dresses I’ve photographed to date. It was so her, so unique and so fun to photograph the movement of.
If you’re tight on time or budget or just don’t feel up for traveling around town on wedding day, we can easily get some fun portraits done at your venue.
Since I work in such a documentary style, I of course capture everything on your wedding day. While I always gravitate to candid moments between people the most, I was obsessed with all of the details at K&L’s wedding day. Especially this handmade monster cake card box. It’s so cute and weird, so up my alley!
They had a lovely and quick ceremony, officiated by the groom’s cousin.
K&L’s outdoor cocktail hour is such a perfect example of some of my favorite moments to capture on wedding day - you and your people having the best time with one another!
Again, these bright colored, mid century modern inspired table decorations with bold designs are so unique and looked so cool! Also, can we have a moment for this sweet little vintage inspired cutting cake??
This was such a lovely reception with heartfelt toasts from both sets of parents and wedding party members. Instead of a fancy dinner, they opted for one of my wedding favorites - wood fired pizzas!
They ended the night with one of the best dance floors of the year!
