Queer Elopement on Chicago’s Northside

Word’s can’t express how much I adore a session like this. Not only did I feel like Em & Rachel were old friends from the first time we met but they put their trust in me like we’d known each other for decades.

It says it on my website but did you know that I’m always happy to chat about ways I can work with smaller budgets if you really love my work?

These two opted for a weekday elopement portrait session after they tied the knot at city hall that morning. It was such a joy to meet up with them at their Andersonville apartment where they were hanging with close friends and we went of from there!

The best part about taking some photos at home is being able to include your pets!

Pro tip if you have pets and are doing a portrait session: lint rollers are a must. (Friends to help style are an added bonus!)

After some quick photos at home we headed over to one of the hands down best spots in Andersonville, Hopleaf and took some cute neighborhood pics along the way.

After Hopleaf we headed to my favorite outdoor Northside location - Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary!

Em & Rachel are the perfect example of if you just relax and have fun with your partner during your portrait session, your photos are going to come out feeling just like you.

Montrose point at golden hour is unmatched.

I loved this session with these two for so many reasons but it was so special to get them some beautiful Chicago photos on their wedding day since these two move abroad shortly after!

Thanks again to Em & Rachel for being the sweetest and so in love! Y’all are the best!
